Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
You can now book demo runs! (if the local council dont pull their finger out real soon this might be the only way for non competitors to join in the fun on the day) You can get yourself and all your passengers in for £30 and this includes two demo runs up the hill in your Mini. We can get an extra 160 Minis in this way. This will ensure we run a really fun populated event with non competing Minis in attendance whilst we wait for the council to get off their backsides and make the right decision on general ticket sales.
You will need a free non race RS Clubman license which are available here or just fill a form on the day

There’s camping on the Friday night aswell.

Excellent Mark, look forward to seeing you. We can get 160 demo cars in, with four up in each that’d be potentially 640 punters too!

It would take longer to get them all up the hill than the competing cars

Pete - have they said they'll do licence applications on the day? Many events aren't doing that at the moment in order to minimise the amount of paperwork handled in order to meet MUK guidelines.Pete wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 8:50 pm You will need a free non race RS Clubman license which are available here or just fill a form on the day

I'd just hate someone to go to the time and expense of turning up and then finding out.....

No they can do it on the day if they turn up without one. Just a quick form to fill in. It’s just a fall back in case.

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
In a funny twist of irony the only car I have (nearly) ready to use is 110 NNM and that’s going to come under the eagle eyes of the scrutineers I think due to the Aley cage so I might well end up on the fun run section myself! It won’t be competitive anyway so I’m not too fussed.

Getting a line of period looking (or real in your case Pete) Race cars to run up the hill together would be good, could you make up a period race car paddock with the right amount of the right cars ?

The response I received this morning.
“Hi Graham,
Thanks for the email.
We are still running under the Local Council and Government Covid guidelines so spectators are not able to visit the venue. When this changes all details will be on the website so keep an eye on there.
Best wishes,
Sally”

that doesn't sound very promising for those of us who just fancied a run out watch/support those competing. Oh well....

Re: Prescott Mini Festival 22nd May 2021
Tewkesbury council are the problem apparently but currently there is no dialogue open between them and Prescott. Why that is I have no idea, it’s baffling. Anyone with a Mini or derivative can join in the event by booking a fun run. £30 gets a driver and all passengers in plus two runs up the hill.Old English White wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 11:44 am that doesn't sound very promising for those of us who just fancied a run out watch/support those competing.
