That really suits the period, but not my style... Maybe some bronze banded steel wheels besides the GB's

Thanks! The bodywork is the basis for a good resto and is the hardest to redo, so first time right! I love mk1 and 2's, but wanted a bit different to restore. You don't see too many early mk3's around restored to a high level. Maybe it will appeal to more people now the prices of mini's from the 60's are increasing...

Some great progress on the '71, and loving the direction this project is going.
I'd stick with the silver rims myself.

Yeh I understand where your coming from with the mk3 idea, its defo something that not many people like to do as the mk1's and mk2's are what people seem to like but cant beat this is a awesome build, and as above i like the silver rims to

you need to get a hairdrier on that headlining and get some more tension into it
bit wrinkly!

Thank you for the replies! Even in Dutch
and the headlining absolutely needs some more heat and tension, but will allow it to settle a bit first.

Wow! Good for you Jeroen! Looks really nice & great progress
Your wheels are too wide for Dutch MOT I think?

Thanks and I believe I can just pass MOT, you are allowed 2.5 cm visible tread each side and this is just that
i also have a set of steel wheels just in case for that day...

Beautiful job. I can only wish my van project turns out that well. Will be the same colour
The front looks better with the smaller indicators. Cars bound for CA had those larger ones installed also....yuck
I just noticed your thumb screws for the grill are fairly low....is there a reason for this ( maybe to hide behind over riders?)

Thanks for the compliment!
I have placed them a bit lower to get them out of sight a bit. Still needs some adjustment to get it straight on the car though.
To be honest I got carried away with the standard of the car this far...
