I agree with that Robert, if people don't want their name, what car they have, roughly where they live, when they've gone on holiday etc splattered all over a publicly viewable forum then they should have a choice. The use of 'usernames' certainly hasn't caused a single issue on this forum, , the Autosport Forum, etc etc and in fact ironically it was a poster using his own name that did on this one, and on yours.

I have tried all different ways..req my password/access code reset and still no joy......wonder if it is closed to all comment at the moment ??? shame !!!........foxy52...not my name...just a user name for that and 3 other forums I frequent....dunno what all the fuss is about its just social chit chat and most of these sites are born out of passwords and user names that bear no resemblance to reality......as far as the mcr is concerned I wish someone would give me an answer I could understand ?? ....my user name,password and security access code have never changed and yet I still cant get into the forum ??!!... is it cos I is *l***.......!!!! As stated, the forum is currently closed, as copied from the MCR Forum page;

"We have regrettably closed the forum whilst we deal with the issues of the malware infection we have suffered."

Hope the issues are sorted out soon.

We hope to have the new forum up and running in the first week of December and appologise to all our users for the disruption that this malware has caused.

It has been open for members only but now, to prepare for the new server, it has to be shut down, it's as simple as that, I'm sorry that we were forced to do this, as it does inconveniences people and as it is costing us money to put right what is a malware attack.

It's nice that you are all keen to get back onto the MCR forum. The upgrade has been done but we have hit a problem with migrating previous posts from the old server onto the new server and that will still take a while to sort out. We felt it important to retain all of the old posts, as it is a good source of information. So do bear with us, we are in the hands of the software company and we are doing all we can to get the forum up and running just as soon as we possibly can.

Looks a bit strange, but a lot graphically stronger I think. Alot of info has been lost in translation it would appear unfortunately but that seems to be the norm with swap overs. Not open for postings yet.

The MCR forum is actually just being tested at the moment, so I would ask if you could all resist the temptation to post at the moment. We just need to run a few more tests and knock out any bugs before we 'go live'. What will be needed is for everyone to visit their 'My Profile' page and resubmit their user name and a new password together with your email address. This is part of the added security measures and to aid accountability.
So please bear with us and thanks for your patience whilst we've been 'off air' - Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!
