Bogus 2! They've gone for a massive spec' not sure what class DEWS will put a modern injected 7 port missile. Prep' looked good on the surface but the race seat was held to the floor with nyloc's & some small penny washers

What's with building a mirror floor to stick your concourse car on. Does the guy get out of the shower, stand over a mirror & get his Mrs. to look how clean his nuts are

I wasn't too impressed with the seat mountings either.

I wonder if they put an alarm on this one :?: or are they going to publish all the details of the nice stuff in it and leave it in some dodgy london street overnight, again

Bogus 2 is a Mini saloon rebuild but it is aimed at competing in the relatively new Downton Speed Series hillclimbs organised by the excellent Downton Ex-Works Social Club www.dewsc.org.uk. This is a very affordable and Mini-biased series, fun without the demolition derby.

I think affordable got lost in translation somewhere!

yup, I was indeed there, after some 2 busy days at Beaulieueueu.... where the Bradford Mini guys had quite a find just before me. A guy from Gent in Belgium, brought over the fabled contents of a BMC garage that went bust (and stayed closed) in the late sixties. I was shown (after quite some harassing from my side!) some NOS hydro units in silver and double silver, some 40 early mini hubcaps, and various BMC paraphernalia. So that by now you know. Things are STILL THERE TO BE FOUND.
But, so as John Parnell, Chris Spennewyn, and Keith Redwood said, these Bradford guys seem to be everywhere, and always a step in front!
Anyhow, now over with my useless moaning, it was just great. Prices are on the high, but bargains and nice things are still there, if you know how and where to look. So as I said to John Parnell, you'll have to look where nobody would look, and so avoid the BMC-banners stalls, where you will see the really nice Cooper bits well presented, just so to claim your attention, and go for the mucky stacks of... "....what is a NOS Morris Mini Mk2 front badge doing in between some Renault bits? Say, mate, how much for this? 50p? Done deal."...
On Stanford, I had the chance to meet with new and old friends, and had quite a laugh in looking at Prof Peach's Speedwell wheels CHAINED to his stall. The first thing I said was "Did Mark F saw them?". See, Mark, I really care about you!
I agree with Rich that the resto jobs are OTT, and that, at the end, nobody is really caring about a trailer queen.
Always a pleasure to meet you guys.
