El paso beige and snowberry white is one of my faves, brown is a good colour too....

I might go monotone actually. its just so rare now and it is how my car would have been from the factory. Monotone island blue.

Quite the opposite in fact (not sure about the birds comment), because my Mk2 Cooper is factory monotone black, I've heard it said at many a show that it couldn't possibly be a real Cooper
