A lot of money for a 998 with a lot of non original features. No hydrolastic for a start. Nice car just too much, a perfectly original Mk2 998 isn't even worth that.
Maybe worth restoring TVB 56F one day ... and it will be original spec !! No, I know its not worth that sort of money
You really should mate, it deserves to be back on the road ;)
Well it is sort of on the road Nidge but far from the condition that my other Minis are. Will get out and about in it this year for sure.

That isn't a thing of beauty is it  And what on earth has it got to do with racing and/or Monte Carlo :?
Are they saying that it IS prepared ready for painting or that it WILL BE?? It looks from the photos as if there's quite a bit of work needed yet!

God loves a trier.

The thing is, I am fairly certain that the Downton Keyring is one that a sold a few years back. I'm not 100% certain though.

At that price it's probably delivered in an armoured vehicle.

Ah, but insurance on that value will bump up the costs to something close to what he has quoted

Lovely looking car at the sensible money. 1st taxed 12th Jan 60 so highly likely to be a late 1959 built car. Just need chassis number to confirm.

It's had quite a bit of bodywork done hasn't it? Which is fair enough after all these years. I can't tell from the photos whether it has the recessed screen surrounds but it appears to have built-in seat belt mounts? The doors, front end etc are later replacements.
It does look a bright little car for the money - in todays daft market anyway, and has some good mods done too.

Does look a nice car with with some sensible period mods…..very usable car on the road.

Its good to read the positive comments, rather than a focus on whats not “factory”

Very nearly me, but to far to go and view it quickly and a bit risky buying it blind..
To be fair I’d probably have not been the best owner..
