This would be an interesting one to research. I had it years ago and sold it on. It was rubbish, rusty, bodged up, black, grp Clubman front etc. It had an 850 MA2S4 chassis number but had 998 Cooper running gear. You'd need to get the number and check Gaydon records.

Be interesting to see where it ends up price wise as, unlike the Bangers and Cash car, I don't think I see much of the original car there.
As the KKD - x x x E cars were manufactured in Nov/Dec 1966 I guess when it was reregisterd in 2021 it was given a 1966 D reg from the locality where it was then residing.
I have seen this before on a car originally with an E reg but manufactured in ‘66.

Just as well. This thing is as rough as a badger's arse.

They were getting a large amount of negative comments, which is not surprising when you listen to the "Salemans Pitch" that they use.

Compare it with this auction video for this 1300 Traveller. It's like chalk and cheese.

I was told when I went up there last year that you don’t need to view the cars really as they expect you trust their description. Err…no, you definitely do need to view the cars.

Looks like it has been done by one of the "later versions of Radford" as opposed to actual 1960's Radford. All looks very 1990's to me.

Having said that, I know bugger all about coach built Minis.

Has a whiff of Wood and Pickett with the de-seaming and those arches.

Certainly it has been for sale many many times before over the years and was previously discussed on these pages. I think the general opinion was that it was not an "old school" or original "coachbuilt" Mini. I'm doubtful that the registration number is original as one of my cars, after a cherished plate transfer, was given a replacement reg of ABW xx F.

I remember it being for sale in Banbury for about £50k a few years ago and I was tempted to go and have a look as it was not too far away. It was sat next to my Mk2 S at Stanford Hall a few years ago and looking at it in close up it's very nicely done. I think it would look better wit ha darker coloured interior but it's ok as it is. I wonder who did all the work...?

Doesn’t look like W&P or Radford but has been described as such for years.

I believe several Minis went through W&P during the 1970s to be modified. Deseaming. Mk 2 lights, interior upgrades etc. This particular car has a very unusual dashboard which reminds me of what we used to construct as teenagers because we couldn't afford to get a company to do it for us. As I have said any times "Caveat Emptor."
