I think some cars should have listed status preventing such mismatched eras.

Yeah, proper car that with great history. The recent modifications are probably putting buyers off, been for sale a while, and the price of course!?

I'm wondering if a UK buyer will knab it and bring it back over here...

What a piss poor replica! The majority of classic car dealers seem to have little idea what they are selling these days.
Probably surfing.

At least it has a new shell and a new engine, and maybe the interior too? Compare that to a certain electric conversion DVLA!!

I like that but have to confess that if I bought it, I'd probably end up ruining it, taking away it's early Mini charm by customising / upgrading it. I hope someone buys it for what it is and enjoys it ;)

Is it a bargain. The front door fit looks a bit dodgy, especial when you notice the paint damage on the b-pillar. Its an older restoration, so it's likely that it was not done to todays standards, and it looks like it has got cover sills on it. Lots of splendid underseal on the sills and in the arches. I think you would need a good inspection before parting with any cash first, and would probably be better off buying an unrestored basket case, as then you know what you are starting with, with no hidden surprises to find.

I think it's priced about right if you want a car you can go to shows and not worry to much about people getting to close to it. Or bung in a cage, a couple of seats, some harnesses, a Brantz and go on some classic rallies and regularities.
