you have fitted the windscreen wiper wheel boxes back to front!
or at least, the bezels the wrong way round - but im sure the boxes have to be back to front to make them poke out like this (they certainly do with the bigger mk3 ones)
it will become more obvous when you hold the wiper arms in place whats wrong!!
still, its only a small problem!!!

A few more pics of the interior coming together
Heres the dash and clocks (chrome top rail yet to be fitted)
Refurbished heater plate and ears inc new letters
Interior C panel covers are in and rear shelf
Front door cards are in
![Image](http://www.lc890g.co.uk/webpics/Mini/Mini_170.jpg)
Complete with liners
I have to put my hands up and say that I buggered up the new rear door cards trying to fit them so had to order some new ones. Second attempt came out well in the end
Passenger Side
Drivers Side
Carpets almost there but not quite finished due to trimming etc so will post pics of them and the seats fitted shortly.
Also engine has now been started and runs superb so no need to keep pushing it in and out the workshop as it drivers under its own power

Few more progress pics for you all, hope they are of interest as not much response here so hope people like what they see
First up is the front doors, chrome strips have been added along with kick plate and the door string
Rear seats have been fitted, original horse hair and foam has been used (with a little help where required) under the new covers. Chrome strips also fitted.
and the parcel shelf and seat fixings
Front seats and carpet all fitted
Doors straps and seals, still got to fit the lower chequred chrome strip
Centre line view with handbrake and gearlever
Fitted the original stainless exterior trims. These have had loads of work to bring them to the condition you see and really pleased with how they came out. (wheels yet to be done btw)
Here's a pic of the engine. Still needs a few little bits to finish (breather/chassis plate etc)
Here's a pic from underneith also
and to stop the front valence from collecting water some rubber grommets to seal off the little subframe bolt box areas.
Nearly there now

I'll be having to change the headlining on one of my projects in the future, so I'll be watching your progress with interest.
Keep posting the pics and updates of this cracking resto.

Cheers guys, with winter now here no major hurry to hit the road so gives us time to sort all the odds and sods out ready for next year and its 50 year birthday
masnarda wrote:Where did you manage to get the kick strips from?
Mini spares for the kick strips (although took a while to get a decent pair as they seem to have some tool pressing issues based on what was being sent through, hence a bit of delay)

Well headlining has come out well.
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
Its still putting up a bit of a fight in that the glue used is not fully setting and is still a bit tacky meaning the edges are not holding properly tight when its left. Easily sorted though when I find some different glue to finally hold the buggers in place. Apologies for the poor picture due to bad light but you get the idea.
Also tyres are fitted to rims now, just need to get the tracking done before the hubcaps get finally fitted
With tyres fitted that means the boot area is nearly done. Spare wheel and battery fitted.
and overlay cover in, just need to decide what fixings to use on the bootlid.
and few final bits of chroming have come back so original twin bulb glass rear number plate light finally fitted
