I think that has come up in the forum a couple of years ago - they used to sell them in Bermuda in the Carribean, and maybe other islands that the rich go to...

But a BEACH car - are you making fun of us - it is flipping freezing here. Anyone that drives one of those around here in the last couple of weeks will now be in hospital with double pneumonia, or six feet under!

But the Wolseley Hornet/Riley Elf backend is interesting. The Bermuda ones looked like this I think, normal Mini back ends,

The nicest beach car I've seen was the Crayford one made for the owner of Patrick Motors Group as a retirement gift/thank you for all the work he put their way

Certainly a very nice find indeed. As has been said before, undoubtedly the lowest production factory version ever made.

If it can't be registered and put on the road in Greece, would there be a chance to export the car and make it roadwothy elsewhere I wonder?

Due to the rarity I don't doubt that all the hassle maybe worth it in tme.

But according to the buyer the seller 'follows the law in a very un-Greek way'.

That is surprisingly bad news.

Typical that it is currently owned by the only scrap dealer in the whole world who won't do a dodgy cash deal for £d notes or should that be Euro's.

Hopefully its rarity & potential value will make it well worth someone taking some time to sort things out properly.

if it's the same car, it's gained overiders on the front, but still pretty likely. can't have been many made.

We always considered a Monaco auction wasn't complete until it had a fiat Jolly beach car entered. Always got good money for them too.

Looking at it practically, the Elf/Hornet boot was perfect, more space for suitcases in those certain islands visited by the rich. It is a wonder there isn't a chrome roof rack on them...
