I have a March '64 1071, mostly in original condition. It retains the spring type clutch diaphram and the backplate has a part number that looks to be 22A638 - but it's hard to make out. What do I have here? Did 1071's not come with 22G0270 backplates like 1275's did?
Thanks,
Chris

Re: 1071 flywheel backplate?
You have the correct set-up for your car.....My June 64 1071 has the diaphragm clutch...according to the AKD manual...they changed at engine number 9F SA H33260 (around April ish)
