Gents,
I bought a lovely set of inertia 'autoreel' type britax belts for my mini, After spending a whole day making frames and trying to neatly conceal them in the door bins, they dont appear to work in that position.
How have you fitted yours and whats the best way you have come up with to make a tidy job of it please?

I have mounted a set of these once. I placed them in front of the bins and made a bracket that held them level on the sloping bit of the floor immediately in front of the bins.
They worked great. The units MUST be perfectly level though.

Looks like the way I will have to go with them. Shame really It took me ages to make the little frame for it to sit on in the door pocket!!

As long as the unit is fitted flat & square it should fit anywhere.

I think the problem is that it has to run at a slight angle to get to the top of the door post and also there is some interference around the door pocket where it goes up past the ashtray. The inertia reel isnt particularly strong and doesnt appear to have the strength to pull itself back and take up the slack

Oh, I see. If I remember rightly thats is why I mounted mine in line with the top bracket.

Will have a rethink, would you happen to have any photos of yours installed please?
Thanks,

I have just had a look & unfortunately I do not have a picture of the business end of this installation.
Sorry.
