wiring loom

hi all, at some time in the distant past there appears to have been a short on one of the cables on my loom and now im investigating it theres a bare burnt wire throughout the rear of the loom. if i remove any of the damaged wire or decide to replace part of the loom what amp wire would i use? also mini spares are offering a mk1 mini rear loom section (part no 5L502) does anybody know wether that would just be the part in the boot or would it stretch back to the dash?

I have never seen a loom, just for the boot area??
all the loom,s go from bulkhead - to boot, so you should be OK

Agreed, The rear loom goes from dash to tail lights
