The aqua mk3 was sold by him for no where near the price it's advertised for now . Everyone is on the bandwagon to make as much money as they can from anything with a Cooper s badge on . .... Ken

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Such a large number of cars on the open market are bought by dealers nowadays that it creates a self perpetuating hype and a percieved hike in prices. Other sellers then think their cars are worth the same money and so it goes on .What these cars actually sell for and whether they even sell at all is another story.swifty wrote:The aqua mk3 was sold by him for no where near the price it's advertised for now . Didn't that Aqua Mk3 S go through JD Classics?

Well they wouldn't have sold it cheap that's for sure. JD also had a lovely Janspeed tuned Mk3 aswell that was for sale by it's original owner only about a year ago, I bet that's on it's third owner since then!bmcman.ie wrote:yes pete, it did.

Ironically that one's depreciating, it was £30K last year!billycooper wrote: Mini Van £17000
Another good project here : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Austin-Seven- ... _422wt_958
Early car for Island Blue, fortune to restore it though.

Looks like it was Speedwell Blue originally looking at the engine and luggage bays.Pete wrote:Ironically that one's depreciating, it was £30K last year!billycooper wrote: Mini Van £17000

There is nothing solid about that pick up ! Have you looked at the pictures !
It's a 70's colour, wrong rear lights, wrong speedo, but still had to go look at it and boy is it bad ! It's done at leased 100,000 miles if not more the floors have sheet steel riveted over them it's bad! feel so bad for the person going down to pay 6000 odd for there 12000 mile pickup I wouldn't give £1000 for it

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
It is an odd colour, looks like Pageant Blue! There's a body number on the slam panel though where a later car wouldn't have one?. I wouldn't have thought those bids are genuine for a minute with the wiffy 'Private listing' , very wiffy.newtune wrote:Pete wrote:Some great (and rare) projects about at the moment, all steel Mk2 estate:

Yes does look like Speedwell Blue under the surface (must pay more attention) but in '64? Smoke Grey maybe?surfblue63 wrote:Looks like it was Speedwell Blue originally looking at the engine and luggage bays.Pete wrote:Ironically that one's depreciating, it was £30K last year!billycooper wrote: Mini Van £17000

Yeah it was smoke grey under the blue, I would say it was done up to sale late 70's and they tried to bring it up to date going to need a lot of panels so many riveted on plates and loads and loads of filler

The original colour of the woody is smoke grey, I sold that yesterday to the guy who's now put it on ebay
Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
Looking on my lap top I think you're right with the Smoke Grey, with plain grey interior. Speedwell would have been fleck inside.Pete wrote:Yes does look like Speedwell Blue under the surface (must pay more attention) but in '64?
