escutcheon for door handles

i have question on the escutcheon for door handles. are there any clips to hold the escutcheons?

no, they're just held in by the handle assembly.

on the drivers side, yes, on the passenger side they are held in with two short screws and two short rings that locate over the bosses and allow the screws to 'bite' onto the door skin.

the locking pin for the door lock holds the driver one in, so the screw bosses are undrilled

is the ring as same as the ring for front morris mini badge?
i have no holes on both sides; maybe i have to buy the ring.

i have heard that for mini mk1 the escutcheon should be screwed in. is it true?
