A+ idler gear
Just starting to assemble my 4wd gearbox...all straight cut...I noticed that the S/C drop gears has an idler gear with it's own bearings.
However, it is too small for the A+ Gearbox and too large to go into the bearing.
I haven't paid too much attention to it yet...however, there must be a solution that remedies this. Different bearing...maybe!

All brand new....I will see if it is supposed to fit the Pre A + box...I think maybe!

Problem solved...as the previous member suggested...a sleeve will be made.
The S/C gear is for a Pre A+ box....will remove the bearing and sleeve it to suit the S/C gear.
Here are a couple of pics to illustrate the problem.

Nice project and glad it was an easy solution.
Can I ask, what rear end are you using in this project (do you have athread running somewhere)?

I should really start a thread as you mentioned.
Hundreds of hours of drawing, machining, testing and welding has gone into this project.
The rear subframe with the diff and the suspension is complete....haven't actually mounted the diff into the frame yet...almost there. Using modified Mini trailing arms with S drive shafts coupled to the diff with S hardy spicer couplings.
Coil over shocks for suspension mounted to the trailing arms....also, modified Mini rear brake setup to allow for the drive shafts.
Have a 4X4 shifter as well that allows the car to be FWD only if desired....
The mini gearbox is a masterpiece ...even if I say so myself.
Using a metric rear diff...same C/W ratio is used up front as well.
Lucky to have a great machine shop here otherwise the costs would be out of this world.
Will be assembled into RHD rover body for Vintage racing. The tunnel in the body will be widened slightly at the rear ...also the rear pan is removed.....replaced with a flat pan....battery box turned sideways to relieve interference with the drive shafts. Fuel cell mounted on the floor pan.

The thread was about an idler gear question...pictures were supplied and a solution was found.
