Body panels

Post by 360gts »

Looking at getting some new wings/front ends etc. for a customer car.
Those of you who have used M Machine panels...are they as good or better than the genuine heritage ones?????
Note, have found the heritage panels to be fairly good but far from perfect.

The thing is with m machine and this is a observation not to criticism , a lot of the panel they supply are heritage panels . That said there full floor pans , boot floor and "A" panels with pillar are fantastic . ..... Ken

As above M-Machine will supply either Heritage or pattern wings depending on you price range.

Personally I've been using the pattern wings provided by Mini Spares and have always found them to be a very good fit.

Also remember that Mini Machine convert the Heritage panels to suit the vehicle you are buying for. If you buy a Mk1 front panel, it will be converted to Mk1 spec.

Heritage just supply what they make and seem to deem that if it will fit, it is correct, never mind the detailing !

As Ken says, the 'in house' Mini Machine made floor panels / lower panels are fantastic.

Heritage wings are VERY hit or miss. I gave up trying to get a Heritage passenger wing that would fit even reasonably well and ended up buying an old stock pattern wing that fitted perfectly !
