On hydro suspension, she's sat about an inch off the tyre at the front and around 3 to 4 inches at the back. (1965 Morris 850)
Problem is one side is about 1/2 inch lower, making it just a little too low on the drivers side, front.
I'm a bit worried that if I get the hydro pumped up that it'll start leaking and i'm in a nightmare scenario of having to get it all renewed. Is this a legitimate worry?
My next concern is that either the back or the front will end up sitting too high, rather than being poised right with the back 2 or 3 inches higher (as she is now). Does it do funny things when its pumped up or does it stay in proportion?
Or is the height I have is normal and I should just leave it? Or isnt it the hydor thats the problem, may be knuckle wear etc?

yup, i would say its either knuckle joints, or dodgy top arms (partially seized/ bushes) or, subframe!

It's at 250 odd psi already. A spadge more wont change much, agree with the other posted it'll be a knuckle or upper arm issue. They do tend to sit a bit nose heavy after 45yrs mines going back together with spacer knuckles on the front to try and balance up

When you say spacer knuckles at the front, what do you mean Dr S as my MKII is nose heavy even with washers on the knuckles and I would like to balance it out so it sits more level.

The spacer knuckles were fitted by the factory to 12 inch wheeled cars from about 84. They have a built in 5mm or so spacer. Not a hydro part but looks useful to me!

I dont think the rake is too bad, its just that front o/s corner is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch too low. Will I be able to pump it up a little to resolve?

Yep, I'd give it a go. You can always let it down again.

Hydroelastic help Should I pump the old girl up
yea, was looking at scrapping it to be honest, but got the pump re-conned with warranty for a decent price, sobit the bullet and hoped it would get her going again
