Thanks for your input Simon. As far as I am concerned your method is "THE" way to do it. Who else on here can argue with someone who does it for a living.

After all this does seem to be the mini way now a days to pay for extra unneeded work. Simon do you charge hourly or in other words, would you charge the extra for balancing individual components, over balancing a pre assembled clutch & flywheel. Bearing in mind the extra time this involves ?

We charge a set price for the job , some you win , some you loose on time but they are all done correctly .

Worst one I ever had was a ford side valve that someone had " bladed " with an angle grinder , took hours to get right :lol:

Its the same with the rods , you might be lucky and do a set in 30 minutes or they might be miles out and take age,s.

So what do you charge simon and where abouts are you ?

There is only One advantage, to balancing the flywheel/clutch assembly individually. That I can think of and must say I'm surprised one ones mentioned it yet. ;)
