Tyres

Post by 66 1275S »

Quick question. What tyres are people recommending for 3.5" S rims?
The Dunlop price is just making me wobble at the knees!

Camcas are a nice not to modern looking tread pattern. I can't speak for they're performance though as they were fitted to a customers car. :P

Thank you. They look good. I was looking for something that didn't look modern.

I ran 145s on ASBO for a while. Camac 145s were good tyres. The best.

They don't drift like crossplies though!

A mate of mine used to have Camacs on his 1300GT powered Innocenti Mk1.

I remember him commenting that they were awful in the wet and nigh on impossible to wear out, no matter how much he tried to

I used to do about 30 miles a day in ASBO. Fronts would last 10 days.

When I was 17 I remember knocking out the Dunlop C41 tyres on the front of my mum's new Riley Elf in under 1000 miles - got a bit of a bollocking from my dad!
