Wire circlip on inner end of pot joint drive shaft

Post by Michael7 »

Can anyone confirm if the wire circlip above is the same part number (37H8706) as the one used on the outer end of early and late drive shafts to retain the CV joint? The Mini Spares web site implies it only fits the outer end, but dimensionally it seems correct for the inner end, where the late shafts lock into the pot joint.

Thanks.

Somerford's web site was able to confirm this. This site seems to have more readable and clear-cut tech information than does Mini Spares.

Thanks for updating that. I'll direct future tech inquiries to you, since the main office is so busy shipping!
