Rear Valance 1962

Post by Spitz »

Would a 1962 saloon have had closing panels for the rear valance?
We have a 62 here that seems not to have had them ( no welding marks )

No, I think the closing panel came fairly early in 1963.

I agree with Pete, most early cars I have seen don't have closing panels.

Unfortunately it looks like the orig panel is unavailable.

perhaps we'll have to just fit a later type closing assembly.

My September 63 car has no closing panels, pretty sure my april 64 did'nt either, you can use the later type and just cut the closing panel bit off, the stiffener bits are'nt to difficult to make if you have the remains of one as a pattern
