Smoke Grey paintcode

Does anyone know the paint code for Smoke Grey. I'm looking to paint backs of spot lights and a few other bits and bobs for the Mk1 but the code I gave to the paint supplier isn't recognised. I got the code from the Mini colours website as BU15 - this number is no longer available.

Anyone else come across this??

Anyone in the UK looking for BMC Paint codes should order them by manufacturer & name, forget about the code.

If yoy ask for BMC, Smoke Grey used between 1960 & 1964 or whatever any paint shop SHOULD be able to find a current code if they want to.

One I went to just told me that it's not on their list and they wouldn't be able to get it full stop! I have another supplier trying to find it, but I'm bringing the bootlid to him in the morning to match against swatch cards!! It's not for the body so if the colour isn't EXACTLY the same it'll not be too bad.

In that case its simply a case of your paint man not being bothered. I'd just try somewhere else.

BU15 is Blue grey/smoke grey/haze blue. Berger ref no. 01243

Success - my local paint supplier was able to do a 100% match for me. Happy days!!
