cox gtm

Post by guru_1071 »

heres another project

its a early cox

its flat packed for easy storage and its all there (bar the engine - was an s motor)

the tub needs some work, but its all flat panels with returned edges - so once i get my teeth into it it will be easy

all the panels are there (inside the volvo), the doors are perfect, there is the single part rear cover, the cox front etc etc

Image

no sunroof either - for all the haters! ;)

:ugeek:

nice shot of the pink trailer as well!!!
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Lordy! It's not my old one is it? :o

For a genuine Cox, it looks in remarkably good condition :geek:

might be, what was the reg on yours?

i can only assume that they dipped the tubs in a strong salt solution before painting them in 'rustolot' paint

as bad as the tub is, its never been bodged, so all the return folds etc are still visible

No sunroof? - thank god for the 1960s/70s. Bet it comes with a fag lighter though. :)

Pink trailer? never knew you were that way inclined, Guru. Takes all sorts to make the world up, I suppose. :P

it didnt have a fag lighter, but it has got a tape player with a graphic equaliser.... 8-)

im not inclined that way, but

red paint = expensive

pink paint = very cheap as it was mixed wrong - money saving tip!

oh yes - it had the remains of a 'round' on one side as well.

im currently contacting previous owners to see if they can fill in any of the blanks, i guess it was used in hill climbs and the like as the tub only shows evidence of the rear hoop type of cage rather than a full one.

Wot, no cartidge eight track player? Very un-early seventies.

And I did guess your trailer was painted by cheap watered down red lead paint, hence the pouffy pink colour, big boy.... :D
