We are rebuilding our early Longman race car for vintage racing....however, don't want to use a MK1 shell as they are very rare here. I do have a good MK11 shell...want to weld in the MK1 tail light panels. Does anyone have any experience with doing this?
Wondering what you have to do...do you cut away the small flange around the MK11 opening etc???
Appreciate any suggestions here.

Re: MK1 tail light repair panel
the aftermarket infill panels are designed just to weld in with no removal of the lip
I guess that if you want to make the job look perfect from within the boot you could trim them back
