I do not think so. The foreword is signed John Aley. Photos are superb and quite big. Too many good british drivers to name here.
Mu first racing Mini is in the book.

I like the racing Innocenti Minis on the cover, are there more Innocenti photos inside?

Thanks, Pluto.
I asked to the author if an English version could be possible.

Re: A new and nice book on the Mini
Looking forward to my signed copy.
I always fancied doing a book but realised just how much time and effort it would take for it not to be littered with errors, so gave that idea up . Even interviewing the original characters can lead to lots of misinformation as I've discovered, and understandably. In a way I'm not surprised at all that JP has delayed his Original Mini Cooper MK 2 book for so long. The other thing I've found is that as soon as you've finished one topic and put it to bed a heap of new info and especially photographs will come to light as happened recently here in a very big way :

Re: A new and nice book on the Mini
Arrived today from Amazon UK.
First section is about drivers including Christabel Carlisle, Steve McQueen and Niki Lauda. Obviously all the main drivers from the 1960's are included.
The next chapter is about the Tuning companies including Broadspeed, Alexander, British Vita etc etc.
Next up is a chapter on the different events that Minis and Mini based cars competed in, including a piece on Le Mans featuring the Deep Sanderson and Mini Marcos entries. There's a also a small bit of coach built stuff and a bit on Sprints. The final piece in this section covers the Trophee British Leyland France (Les Mini De La "Coupe Inno").
The final section is around 70 pages of mainly French registered Minis in various French events. Some of the images are excellent with lots of moustaches with Gitanes hanging from them.
If you want a book with pictures of an amazing amount 1960's and a small amount of 1970's competition Minis then this is a book for you. And if like me you can only understand the names and places in the text then it is still worth a look.
If you want a book that covers the history of Minis and has loads of previously seen BMC promo shots and pictures of the Monte then this book is not for you.
It also takes up a good amount of space on your coffee table.
10 out of 10 for pictures (about 600-800).
Text in French, who cares.

Re: A new and nice book on the Mini
Yes it's all in French (another good reason for me to learn the lingo!) but some great images in the book. The early ones of Fitzpatrick , the Vita Minis and also the Broadspeed GTS racer are very nice. Will have another thumb through later...
