Oil catch tank

I'm going to be fitting an oil catch tank to my S powered Traveller and wondering what type folks on here have fitted to their Minis. I'm looking to fit in the engine bay and not under the wing like I've seen some fitted.

Pics would be good too if anyone has any.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but I have two
catch-tanks on my Mini. One comes from a spout on the rocker
box and the other comes off the transmission case.

They tend to collect water/sweat more than oil, and oddly, a lot
more comes out from the transmission case one than the much
higher rocker box one...

On the Marcos, I only have a rocker box one: The transmission
case has some kind of original spec plastic vent thing which just
leaves a filthy sweaty wet patch in that area. At some point, I'll
get another tank organised.

I use 500ml Tesco hand-soap bottles and just "park" them on
the bulkhead area... I use a 90 degree plastic elbow which goes
into the hose and just pokes into the top of the bottle.

I use an empty strongbow can wedged down by the subframe/clutch, as there's always plenty knocking around with the pipe coming from the rocker cover.
I would fit a pukka one fitted somewhere in the engine bay if I could find room and one that looked ok.

This is exactly what old Castrol tins are for , had to move the regulator box but it does the trick

I have a lovely aluminium one that is surplus to requirements, it fits nicely onto the inside of the right hand flitch panel.....unless there are other gubbins there, such a voltage regulator, solenoid, etc. You can have it for a large drink.
I swopped it for a Swiftune-under-the-wheelarch job. Nice but pricey.

This may not be relevant, but I'll mention it as I was picked up on it by the scruitineers the other day. For hillclimb/sprint and drag racing in the UK the blue book states that the minimum capacity of the catch tank needs to be 1litre. For racing 2litres.

That's a beautiful engine bay Al, I shall be using it as inspiration for my Clubman. Is that an Austin 1300 rad?

It is actually an 1100 radiator but possibly the same. I also run a small auxiliary radiator in the right wheel well too, behind the headlight. Thanks for the positive comments.

Regarding capacity, regulations here require 1L up to 2L engine capacity, thus the 2 x 500 ml tanks.
