62 Mk1 Rebuild

Post by mk1mini72 »

Hi everyone, though it was about time to post some info about my mini rebuild. From a very young age I have been interested in my dads collection of Mini's, and when this one popped up on ebay, he decided to buy it as a project for both of us to undertake. It was bought as a painted shell, although it needs a few bits redoing here and there.
-We have fully rebuilt both sub-frames, which have both been powder coated.
-I Have recently bought all new interior from newtons commercials.
-Full set of Koni lowered adjustable shock absorbers.
... and the list goes on!

The next job is to rebuild the engine, which is just a case of saving up some more money. Hoping to have it on the road soon!
Here are a few pictures of the car so far:

Welcome to this happy forum. A great project - and a very impressive garage and collection :). What engine do you have planned for it?

When my Mini is in the garage I don't even have room to walk around it

Is that a Bristol in the background?

I am planning on putting in a 998 cooper engine, which has been molested to make it faster.

Yes that is a bristol 403 in the background! :D :D :D
