Metal washer nozzles on early Mk1 Cooper

I am dismantling a 1961 Mk1 Cooper for a bare metal respray and restoration and was surprised to find that the windscreen washer nozzles are metal rather than the rounded black plastic. These are painted in primer and body colour. I am not sure whether these are original or were fitted as an aftermarket accessory. They are held by butterfly nuts, which doesn't seem correct.

Can anyone tell me whether the early Mk1 cars were fitted with metal washers nozzles as standard? If so were they painted in body colour or black?

Maybe john parnells book might help here.
but I thought early Mk1s used the same as Mk1 MGBs
I have this type on my 997.

The metal jets that I have are dome shaped and similar to the plastic original type. See picture below. John Parnell's book does not mention washer jets, but I note that all of the early Mk I cars illustrated appear to have black dome shaped jets.

my Mk1 has those in WHITE plastic, also had White switches as well and these were all original.
still got the washers in the car, but "man" they are brittle.
the switches disintegrated with use, and now they have been swapped out for black ones.

never seen the dome washers in metal, only the "hex type".

My 63 s has black brass bodies held in with wing nuts but the tops are less domed than the ones pictured also they are not adjustable, just have a small drilled hole.
