front panel stiffener.

Post by mesrine »

Hi, I was looking through a reference book, and saw pictures showing the the front panel stiffener at an angle. my 1967 998 cooper, has a straight vertical stiffener, though an oil cooler is fitted.........the car was completely re built in the early nineties, what does this say about my body shell if anything.......should all cooper front panel stiffeners be at an angle

cheers ray

Only the S had the diagnol stiffner once the oil cooler became standard fitment in 66', Coopers had the verticle stiffner from the start :) (as did the 1071's)

Your car probably has a mini machine replacement S specification front panel.
