Hi, Probably been covered before, however- I know the front number plate is supposed to be on a vertical surface/plane but has anyone ever had any hassle -MOT/Police- from having a square black & white one on the bonnet curved leading edge?
Thanks

I guess that if they REALLY wanted to make an issue of it, they could, but you would have had to have seriously failed the attitude test for them to want to be so picky

Re: Front number plate
Please could you post the name of a supplier for these plates. Are a sticker, or a magnetic removable square?
Re: Front number plate
I think number plates have to comply with the regulations at the time of manufacture.

Re: Front number plate
For some reason I always seem to have had cars with the numbers on the bonnet and never had an issue of any kind. In fact I ran my Vita(ish)Min on the road with no number on the front at all and Firestone race tyres for some time (which I don't recommend).
In fact the only time I ever got stopped by plod was with my very first shiny restored Mk1 S in the late 80's, and all he wanted to do was have a look at the car !
