Roger, how long do you think it would take you to get here in the Ant? You must be close to completing the project??

Well Leon, he should have it done sometime before he retires.

Glad you have got your 970 sorted. I am still waiting for the engine for mine from Southam Minis. I could do with getting the 970 running before I start on the Wolseley 1000.

Have you got your parcel yet ?

Mocsa run to Irene dairy farm on Sunday in glorious sunshine (especially for those of you in winter climes). We started at the SA Mint with a short drive to the farm.

The 970 and 1070 alongside one another in the third pic.

Looks great. Just don't forget us in freezing gales here.
Cars look good. Frank's GTS looks stunning. ;)

And Ryno brought his second beautiful Wolseley along. He drove his other Wolseley 8000 km around the coast of South Africa recently, with Gerrie in this blue station wagon in the pics, still adorned with the sponsors stickers from the trip.

I thought you might like the GTS!

And that's Ryno in the first two photos in the blue shirt and lighter blue jeans.

Leon, I'm posting this from satellite link in central Sahara. I've nicked Trevor's Ant and am well on my way with a trailer to liberate your 970 !
I've now started fabricating a jig to build the Moke on, the Ant will wait it's turn. I still want to get more info on mine before I start work on it, being the only series one we've found so far. I got some excellent pics of the series one Ant that the US Army had on trial, that revealed even more differences! I have an embargo on the pics at the moment but will send once I'm told that's lifted.
Glad your 970 is going so well.
Happy Christmas all SA mini guys

How many Leons do we have here? I'm the Australian one with the 970 engine in a Clubman.

Thanks for the Christmas wishes Roger. Watch out, sandstorm predicted for the central Sahara tomorrow.

Leon J from Oz, I'm Leon D from South Africa. As we did not get any 970's (We received quite a few 1070's), mine is a 970 engine in a 1964 998 Morris Cooper. Your motor build sounds like a beaut. Would love to hear how she performs.
