Big end sizing

Post by Vegard »

I'm about to have all these rods resized:

Can someone tell me which sizes these should be? I haven't got my Haynes here, and I doubt it's there.

Also, my machinist knows this, but if I'm using a floating wristpin, what should the clearance on this be?

1300 big end rod housing size is 1.8955" / 1.8960" .

Ideally the little end needs bushing , boring then finish honing until the pin just goes in .

Thanks alot Simon. Would you aim for the upper or lower limit, and if so why?

What about S rods?

I know that the little end ideally needs a bush, but I'd like to run in straight in the rod for the first rebuild if you know what I mean.

Thanks again!
