The Mini engine number prefix includes a part that shows the ancillaries fitted to the power unit. Towards the front of most Mini parts catalogues is a table called "2nd Prefix Combination Numbers". The three digit combination code numbers are listed, together with the meaning of the code (e.g. Lucas C40 dynamo, centre change speed gearbox, mechanical petrol pump, etc.).
I'm trying to find the meaning of codes 860, 883, 889, 902 and 905. They don't appear in any of the tables I've seen to date.
Any ideas on how to locate these codes?
