Driving me Nuts.

Having found an alloy wheel that would fit my Woody with S brakes and coil sprung rear end I am now having great difficulty in finding off the shelf sleeve nuts.
So far I have managed to find 6 MMAA 5x10 alloys, but annoyingly there are 3 different types of these wheels.

Type 1. Flat edge, standard wheel nut.
Type 2. Flat edge, 16mm Sleeve nut.
Type3. Lipped edge, 16mm Sleeve nut.

Apart from having to find another single flat edge wheel or 2 lipped edge wheels to make a set the search for wheel nuts is proving a pain.
The closest sleeve nut that will fit is the sprite or Mini special type, but is about 5 mm too short.
I could of course get longer studs or get my mate to turn some nice stainless ones on his lathe.
Like i said, It's driving me nuts.

Could your mate make some steel inserts to go into the wheels so you can use standard nuts? You would of course have to use longer studs too.

Grayston make conversion collars that sleeve down to a 'normal' sleeve nut size:
Part No. SW10 - 5/8" ID x 11/16" OD
Part No. SW12 - 5/8" ID x 3/4" OD

They would meant opening out your wheels slightly, but that's no real issue, and would give you much more choice of sleeve nut.
I have some in the garage - I'll try and take a picture later.

Machining the wheels is probably my last resort, but if needs be, so be it.
I'll get on that Grayston site and have a nose.

Bingo.
Managed to get hold of some brand new Sleeve nuts off the proverbial shelf.
However, I think they may be a bit short in the sleeve department by about 5mm.
The washer supplied with the nuts is 5mm thick and without the washer fitted the nut is just about the right depth in relation to the stud holes.
One option is to turn 4mm or so off the nut,ie; lengthen the sleeve section.
I'm not worried about the chrome, it's peeling off some nuts already and I only showed them the wheelbrace.
