Door Catch Identification

Post by Lord Croker »

Please can anyone help me to identify this door catch, which looks as if it must be from some derivative of the Mini, but the locking lever appears to be designed to be operated by some kind of link. This is for a right hand door & if my memory serves me correctly, it would indicate that it was destined for a LHD model, as I think only the passenger door had the internal lock. The inset on the photo shows the locking lever in plan form. Thanks.

Thanks for your replies, very interesting, I must confess I never considered those kind of uses, maybe I'll find someone who will make use of it, seems a shame to scrap it as it hasn't been used, it's basically NOS.
