track rod ends?

hi all,ive brought a pair of new track rod ends for my mk1 from mini spares.they appear to list them as one size fits all but the ball joint tappered pin is to big to fit inside the hole in the arm! are there two types?

Silly comment but are you fitting them from the right side (my mate made that mistake)

not so silly,it was a fair while ago i stripped them down! im sitting here thinking your right,im going down through the arm and i guess i should be going up...? thanks

Yes, the pin should be fitted from the bottom, like this:
