Did the Mini Mk1s have serial numbers on their subframes?

I've seen rear subframes with stencil type, painted on part numbers on them.
My dry twin bolt (1971) front subframe has a punched in ID mark on it. Probably done during the manufacturing process.
Not sure about the early cars though.

Curious Front or rear? No serial #'s but the dry subframe I have for the rear has MOWOG on the bottom.I'll collect some pictures tomorrow.Mk1Lover wrote:Hi!

some frames do have stenciled numbers on the frames, and the little paint coded rubber stamp marks that signify what displacers the frames have fitted
