mk1 s badges
i need to buy the small s and large s badges for my cooper s but any replacement ones seem to be of a cheap nature with a push fit rather than the original ones with a thread and nut on the inside!! any ideas where to get these from?

Re: mk1 s badges
Jays' right, the original badges had plain mounting pins with a recess to clear the head of the push in insert. These are still available [13H 217 or GFK 7514] but the reproduction badges haven't got the recesses.

Re: mk1 s badges
Having broken my original, I bought a new reproduction small "S" on ebay which was rubbish (should've known better
) and the pins didn't even line up. I then purchased a new reproduction one from Minispares and it fitted my original holes well and looks fine
, so very pleased with it. As said above, they did just push in to plastic plugs (johnnys was the technical term used at work!
).

Re: mk1 s badges
I've just had a closer look at this, I reckon its the S from the Seven badge! somebody has cut off the rest of the badge, you can see where the chrome is missing on the base of the S, hence only the single pin. No problem for me though..........Mines a Morris.steve1071 wrote:I've never seen the large S badge with single fixing. Is that an early one?
