Megajolt TPS

Hi, just bought TPS version of Megajolt. I run Twin H4s, 1.5 rollers, 1380, 285 cam, lcb, flowed ported head. Where on earth do I mount a TPS on twin H4s??? Anyone???

Not done this, but you could mount it on the outside of the carbs to, as the spindle goes right through. You'd need to fie flats on the throttle spindle, to suit your tps unit.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking along those lines too. Anybody else have anything to add? Would like to see a set up on Twin SU's (esp H4's if anybody happens to have done this already) Cheers. Mark

its a waste of time even trying, i spent ages trying to mount a tps to my twins and its hopeless, you would have to make a huge spindle to get it all to fit and clear the float bowl.

the only way to do it would be to use a carb with the float bowl on the inside, so the tps could snuggle up closer to the outside.

by this time i had admitted defeat and gone back to using a map sensor

I have heard that some BMWs have a 'remote' TPS, actuated by a rod.
-Which might be easier to set up?

Unfortunately I don't know which. I can try and find out

i looked at this route, but decided that it would be a difficult exercise to achive with my limited abilities and would have probably not been very liner or accurate.

the map was a far easier solution, one little pipe - job done!

Hi Rich. If you get a minute would you drop me a line with a heads up on this set up. I am a dimwit when it comes to thinking outside the box and would like to hear what benefits you thought of a map megajolt brings eg easier starting, smoother running, extra 50 bhp?????

wil is the best person to speak to about megadolt - he is a utter genius on this sort of thing.

mine is sc typhhon, i muddled through and it works pretty well - i doubt i got any more power, but its far smoother and allowed the carbs to be tweeked for far better mpg

At the end of the day, if you look at all the different TPS units that are fitted to bikes. There will be one thats thin enough, some are even operated by a external lever.

But the main problem your gonna face, is running a carb that basically works using MAP. Having your ignition controlled by something that isn't really connected to what controls the carb ie. the piston
