My friend Tristan recommended I set up this page to show of my MK1, just like his 61 Clipper Blue.
Bazar story between me and Tristan as he got his mini weeks before I got mine. His was built weeks before mine and his went into the garage weeks before mine did over 21 years ago. Sadly there will not be weeks between the road legal state as his is nearly road worthy.
Now to my MK1 Morris Mini-Minor. Years ago as a nipper I remember going to see this mini in the garage it was sat in for 20 years. I went with my dad who was asked to restore. From there the owner completely striped it to basically a bare shell. And since i've been wanting it like crazy! I bugged the owner for many of months before my big brake came, to which they moved and the mini was left outside without a garage and them knowing the weather would do it no good my last bid sealed the deal.
£900 bought me the 61 Mini I dreamed of owning.
It came stacked with all history including the little notes the original owner left the garage asking to carry out tasks.
One of those being to check to see if any undersell had been disturbed and to fix it. Which has resulted in the underside of my mini to be absolutely caked with the stuff.
the car looks pink. thats only because it has a think wax coat that the owner added many years ago.
When I got it back.
When I got it back

Look at the Floor! 50 years old!
all the lights still worked
The really nice heater bar which some one added.
This is a photo of photos back in 1990 before it was sent into storage

Very nice indeed.
Yet another unmolested early Mini.
I've noticed a pinstripe along the waist. My 61 cherry Red has a pinstripe as well. Too much of a coincidence.

Looks really solid, wish I could say the same about mine which had the optional but not too rare Fred Flintstone floors.
