early minivan clutch
I have a 1962 minivan it has an original "wet" primary gear and spring clutch.I am having difficulty in selecting my non synchro 1 st gear.I have renewed clutch master cyl, slave cyl and clutch arm.I have had adjustment checked out by 2 mini experts and it is correct.I am thinking of removing clutch/flywheel assy, but it seems a spring type clutch kit is not available and the later diaphragm will not fit unless I change crankshaft.Anyone out there can help. Re: early minivan clutch
im sure nick rodgersstill has a spring clutch or two
have u checked the crankshaft end-float ?????????
ive had loads of trouble with these wet nose crank engines ,with the thrusts disentigrating...make a clutch clearance almost impossible.
id check this out first for sure
ive used anglia / popular 100 e valve springs in a spring clutch to make it a bit more "heavy duty"
