Just wondering what the 2 little rubber buffers in the 2 outer boot board brackets should look like, and who sells the correct ones?
Also what is the correct type of cup washer for the screws in the boot lid cardboard liner?
Newton sells the ones that come outside the screw head, but i have seen smaller ones that sit just under the screw head to, I have a feeling the smaller ones are right but cant seem to find any for sale...

Re: Boot details
James the smaller cup washers were right, ie. are just visible behind the screw head, buggered if I know where you could get some though. The rubbers always seem to be the first thing to fall off a Cooper so there's not many about. I didn't think anyone else made repros other than the Newton one, Mini Machine ?

Re: Boot details
I have been looking into boot board buffers as well recently
These boot board buffers were on ebay a while ago and the seller claimed they were NOS originals

Here are the closest replacements I could find

I have one original left in the back of my S and it looks just like these, so I'd say they are a good buy.

Re: Boot details
Thanks for the advice Pete,
I had a feeling these washers were right, the car in the pic is very original.

The buffers used on the central support on the rear seat in estates are the same. This might make it a bit easier to find some originals
