Hi ,
Does anyone have a photo or drawing of the mod required to the rods to clear the cam on an 8 port please.
Is there any specific type of rod which can't be modified to clear the cam?
Thanks

Ask bmceccosse on the mini forum. He did it for someone 40+ years ago. see how good his memory is.

you can use the aeg625 that minispares sell - they have been modded from bare rods by arrows to use a bolt, rather than a stud and a nut.
old s rods 'may' sometimes need the top of the stud releiving, but this depends on cam choice, rod, stud etc

please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

unless you want to use original stuff i would suggest using H beam rods which miss the cam by a mile... specialit components ones are pretty reasonalbly priced.

Hi,
but SC can not deliver since half a year. If you have A+ pushrods and for example a SW23 8port cam, you can lower these two bolt seats where the bolt heads will contact the camshaft about 3 mm’s and not forget to cut the bolt of the second cylinder the same 3 mm’s. Otherwise it will contact the gear housing.

SC billet rodd. I'd rather use the forged originals. The Minispares ones Rich mention are infact very nice.
