Ripspeed HILO Mk2

Post by Fanfaniracing »

I know it's a rare item but i am looking for at least one intact HILO Mk2 suspension Cone.

If a full set is available it would be even better!

Best regards from Switzerland
I promise i won't buy another MkI...

Hello,

I have a pair of the Ripspeed International Hi-Lo's available (Patent no. 1378496). I Can send pictures, and you can determine if these can work for you

This A3 size Hi-Lo Mk2 flyer/ad is from the 1970's but was too big for my A4 scanner so I had to copy it in sections..........this is the Hi-Lo's inventor, the late Tony Chamings version patented in 1970 (also famous for pioneering and building the 'Gomshall' spaceframe Super Saloon racing Mini in the 1970's, as seen featured in Triple C magazine at the time. Tony Chamings later sold the rights and patent to Keith Ripp for the Ripspeed Mk3 Hi-Lo.
(Tony Chamings died in 2010).

Thank you for these Pictures mab01uk!

The thing is if i want my Mk1 MOT'd as a historic Vehicle
All modifications should be period correct.

Soni am looking for a Hilo wich could be possible in the mid/late 60's.

I guess the Mk3 Ripspeed or later Ripspeed/Minispares versions would be more 70/80's parts?
I promise i won't buy another MkI...
