I see Winabbey (of this Parish?) has already scuttled the idea that this is an original Aussie S. Shame, but someone is still on the way to getting a cracking little car for what looks like a steal.
Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Roger, hope you don't mind me adding this BAT auction on your post.

This 71 GT sold for $33.333Usd.....decent price....don't think you could build this car for that money.
I thought it might fetch a bit more....the seller didn't seem to want to answer a lot of the questions...IMO, that does reflect on the bidding.

Do you add up the receipts for the 71 GT contained in the pictures?
They totaled ~$75K compared to the $33K purchase price.

Hi roger...I gave up when I reached 60K....think the owner had a pot O gold somewhere to keep paying that sort of $$ to those guys.
Like I said....IMO the seller could have done a better job at selling the car. Many questions were asked, and he never bothered to answer.
Hard to believe what they were charging him...he even did some labor himself....they in return gave him a discount.....otherwise the total may have been a lot more than $75K!!!!
