Nick Padmore: A Father-Son Racing Story - The Journey to Goodwood Members' Meeting

Post by mab01uk »

"Nick Padmore’s journey through motorsport has seen him behind the wheel of everything from historic Formula 1 cars to some of the most celebrated machines in racing. But his connection to Minis goes deeper. It’s a bond that began with his father, racing them when Nick was a child, and has never let go. Today, as a four-time Masters Historic F1 Champion, Monaco Historique podium finisher, and Goodwood lap record holder, the Mini remains a constant thread in his story. Now, dad & lad take on the Goodwood Members Meeting together in Nick's newly acquired FIA Historic Mini."

Yes, they were next to a Mr Stanworth who I was helping ; also giving me my first taste of historic Mini racing. Shortly after Maters announced they were going to have a MIni only class and thats what got me started.

Sadly the little kit car wasn't willing to play so it never got out to the parade lap

Kit car with careful previous owner (bloody Mighty Minis racers get everywhere)...

I raced with them sharing the car in the Sanwa trophy at Brands later
