Just watched a video where an engine builder used Loctite 3020 aerosol on a Victor Reinz head gasket. He claims Keith Calver uses this method. I would appreciate your opinion.
Cheers Jim

Re: Loctite 3020
Looks as if its designed for the job, maybe a slightly more convenient version of Wellseal ?

If Keith Calver does use it, its got to be a worthwhile recommendation, he wont be using anything that causes him more hassle….I wonder if there has been any failures while using it?

Re: Loctite 3020
I’ve been running the VR small bore gaskets on my 998 race motor and I’ve had great luck. No failures yet in two seasons of racing. I haven’t tried the locktite spray on them though.

Re: Loctite 3020
Victor Renz (and most other head gasket manufacturers) expressly do not recommend using any sealant on these gaskets. They have a heat activated sealant applied as part of their manufacture.
I don't and have never found the need for it.
