Andy Saunders "Claustrophobia" was the worlds lowest car, but has been beaten several times now. Andy's website (which is excellent) claims that he holds the current record with a car called "Flatout" that looks like it was Fiat 126 based.

At least Claustrophobia is still recognisably Mini based.

Thread bump..

Does anyone know if Andy Summers "lowest mini in the world" AEL298A is still around?

I'm guessing it might be tucked away in a museum somewhere?

From Andy Saunders website:-
https://andysaunders.net/claustrophobia/

Claustrophobia
"As a little boy, Andy used to read the Guinness Book of Records and dream of being a record holder.
When Claustrophobia was built the dream was realised. Claustrophobia was given the record title of lowest car in the world, at a height of 34 1/2"
The Guinness Book of Records then took the dream one step further and used Claustrophobia on the front cover of the Extraordinary Records Book
Claustrophobia was sold to the Yorkshire Car Collection, where it was used as a 'people magnet' for their open to the public collection. It was sold by them at a classic car auction, and is now in a museum in Tokyo."
