Hi Jakk

I have some NOS spares. They are the Intermotor version.
How desperate are you?
I have relatives in NZ who will be over here in July and could bring one back.
PM me if you still need one.

Hi Andy
Not overly desperate - July is good. Not sure what you mean by Intermotor version though

That's because they don't make them any more. The part being offered is NOS (New Old Stock).

Ok super-sleuths out there I have checked my Intermotor sensors and seem to have three versions although all are supposed to be for the early gauges.
They all have green insulators although the shade differs
The boxes have either 5270 or 52700 part number
Stamped numbers are one of either:
5270
B700
170
The 170 type are slightly longer

What do you guys think?

Well that explains that then. 🤣

It looks like they are no longer made by anyone
.
I have offered Ken a genuine NOS Smiths sender, but he seems to think he will find one elsewhere.

Greetings. New member here. Thank you to all who posted on this forum, what an amazing resource esp for us newbies in America.

Just found this thread (Dec 2024) while trying to diagnose faulty temp reading. New Smiths C-N-H temp gauge with new GTR104 (red) sensor replaced older temp gauge and sensor. After idling 5 mins it will indicate car overheating although engine feels like it’s operating with normal temp.

Has this been solved? Is problem that ideally I would need a
GTR102 (not available) which is calibrated to gauge?
